SmoothLedger is a puzzle game about keeping tiny economies steady. Each level presents a planetary ledger that has fallen out of balance — too much spending here, too little income there. Your job is to match income tiles with expense tiles until everything settles into quiet equilibrium.
There are no timers screaming at you. No lives to lose. Just a board, a budget, and the gentle satisfaction of watching numbers align.
The rules fit on a napkin. The depth doesn't.
Every puzzle starts with a scattered ledger. Income tiles carry positive values — trade routes, harvests, starlight taxes. Expense tiles carry the opposite — infrastructure, festivals, the occasional asteroid cleanup.
Drag to Offset
Drag tiles together to offset them. A perfect match clears both. A partial match leaves a remainder tile you'll need to handle later.
Limited Space
The board has limited space, and every move nudges neighboring tiles into new positions.
Rising Complexity
Early levels teach you the basics in minutes. Later ones introduce interest tiles that grow if ignored, seasonal tiles that change value each turn, and locked columns that only open once a sector of the ledger is balanced.
Surplus Rating
Clear the board with moves to spare and you earn a surplus rating — the currency that opens the way to new galaxies.

SmoothLedger began as a weekend prototype built by two developers who wanted a puzzle game that felt more like tidying up than fighting a clock.
The visual style is deliberately spare: soft gradients, thin lines, numbers that glow faintly when they're close to balancing. The soundtrack is a set of slow ambient pieces that shift subtly as a board approaches equilibrium.
There are no ads interrupting puzzles and no mechanics designed to make you wait or pay to keep playing.
